The recent surveys from the Catholic School Management, Inc have been tallied.  Thank you for your time and effort in completing these forms.  You have provided us with valuable information. I will address every area of the survey by section through e-mails and Friday folders.

I am happy to report that 96% of participating parents are satisfied with the academic program at Epiphany Cathedral School and 40% are very satisfied.

The report from the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence gave ECS high marks in our challenging standards and curriculum.  The Blue Ribbon report also stated that active teaching and learning were evident both in the classrooms and in the projects displayed.

Dear Parents,
Registration will be open to all new families in March.  We have a waiting list of families who will be placed in available openings on March 3rd.  If you haven’t returned your registration packet, please do so as soon as possible.  If you plan on returning, but are not able to pay the registration fee at this time, please contact the office so that we do not give up your child’s seat.  All classes will be capped at 25.

Below are the results of the social and religious aspects from the recent Catholic School Management, Inc survey.

Every participating parent comes from a Catholic family.  77% of the families had one or more parents who attended Catholic Schools, but only 7% are alumni from ECS.  94% of the participating families are parishioners of Epiphany.

I was thrilled to see that 95% of the participating families checked that their children are happy with school. 60% circled all 5's which was the highest for very satisfied. Another positive statistic is that 99% checked that the children had a good relationship with teacher(s), children feel respected by their peers, and children feel safe.  What a beautiful tribute to our school!!!  Safety is very important to us at ECS.  We have video cameras throughout the school that have video feed into areas that are monitored and recorded.  Our classroom doors and outside doors are locked.   Students are well supervised with teachers and assistants on the playground and in the classroom.  Our Peace Pals are on the playground to help students with conflict  resolution and safe play.  Our volunteers and staff have been fingerprinted and background checked. In addition our Home & School Board may purchase a license check-in for the office which will take visitor security to a higher level.

Overwhelmingly our parents feel that we are doing a great job in teaching spiritual values, family values, and strong Catholic identity.  Thank you!  Our goal is to have our students strengthen their faith and know that God loves them!

Our students participate in: weekly Mass, daily prayer throughout the day, identifying and understanding Spiritual traits that are celebrated through Student of the Month awards, praying the rosary during October and May, Respect Life in January, the Stations of the Cross, the Living Rosary, May Crowning, Chrism Mass, and much more!

At Epiphany we will continue to have high expectations for each and every student.  Our goal is to live our Mission Statement each and every day.

“Epiphany Cathedral School provides excellence in education which nurtures a loving relationship with God and builds a caring community that serves others.”

May God bless each of you for your confidence in us and for the many sacrifices you make to partner with us for the benefit of your child's total education.
God bless you!
-Irene Lynch

SNN captures the Epiphany Feast Day Celebration
Friday January 4th
Our school Feast Day Celebration  began with Mass at 8:30 am.
At 1:30 pm, the 8th graders  began the Epiphany Procession on the 2nd floor, with 3 students as the Magi, another holding the "star" and the rest joining in Christmas carols.  They then knocked on each door, starting with 7th and finishing with Kindergarten, marking the door with the initials of the wisemen, Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar, who presented the Baby Jesus with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Each class joined the procession. They all  proceeded to the Parish Hall, where a reenactment of the Nativity took place.  Including a short movie.  A slice of "King's Cake" and a paper crown awaited each student.  There was one crown per each grade containing a special mark, and whoever had it received a "jeweled gold  crown".  This was a combination of several Epiphany traditions from around the world.

We will pray for the intentions of
Epiphany Cathedral School.

“O Lord Jesus Christ our mediator with the Father,
you have been pleased to appoint the most Blessed Virgin,
your mother, to be our mother also, and our mediatrix with you,
mercifully grant that whoever comes to you seeking your favors
may rejoice to receive all of them through her.
Amen.”
