Mrs. Irene Lynch, Principal Epiphany Cathedral School (Diocese of Venice) 316 Sarasota Street Venice, FL 34285
Dear Mrs. Lynch:
I am writing to congratulate Epiphany Cathedral School for receiving the designation of "Blue Ribbon School of Excellence" in December 2007. It is my understanding that only twelve out of 200 schools nationwide received this honor resulting from the "Blueprint for Excellence" process of assessment, during a special ceremony in Charleston, SC.
Undoubtedly, the award received is a testament to the hard work and dedication of Epiphany Cathedral School and its many stakeholders (administrators, faculty and staff, parents, students, community leaders, etc.). The award also testifies to the invaluable guidance and support from your Rector, the Very Rev. George Ratzmann, STL, Ph.D., and the Department of Education for the Diocese of Venice, as well as the many tireless people who serve the school "behind the scenes."
Furthermore, the award comes not too long after your school community successfully completed the 18-month, self-study process using the School Improvement Plan (SIP) model. This process culminated with your on-site visitation and continued accreditation through our Florida Catholic Conference Accreditation Program (FCCAP) in the Fall of 2006.
Congratulations again on receiving this high honor, and thank you for your dedicated service to our Catholic school community!
With regards,
James B. Herzog, FCC Associate for Accreditation
Cc: Sr. Roberta Schmidt, CSJ, Director of Education, Diocese of Venice; Very Rev. George Ratzmann, STL, Ph.D. (Rector); D. Michael McCarron, Ph.D., FCC Executive Director; and, Official FCC School File.

It gives me great pleasure to announce that for the second year in a row,
Epiphany Cathedral School
has received the Best of Venice Reader's Choice Award for Best Private School in Venice!!!!!! Congratulations to my staff, students, parents, and priests!!!! You're all number one with me! -Irene Lynch (Principal, Epiphany Cathedral School)

I am so blessed to be able to announce to you that Epiphany Cathedral School has been named a 2007 Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School!!!! We are the ONLY Blue Ribbon School in Sarasota County. Sincere thanks to my outstanding staff, my wonderful students, and my very supportive parents. God bless! -Irene Lynch
For those who don't know what a Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School award means, here is a brief description. More information is available at www.blueribbonschools.com This is a GREAT honor and I am blessed to be a part of this wonderful school!!! This award also gives us an opportunity to qualify for many grants and funds available to only Blue Ribbon Schools. Blue Ribbon Lighthouse Schools serve as a beacon for exemplary achievements and contributions to ensure successful educational experiences for all children by shining a positive light on America's best schools and programs that work. Working together, education, business and government leaders have the ability to create an infrastructure that will provide a blueprint for excellence in education for all children, all schools and all states. Blue Ribbon Lighthouse Schools focus on locating successful best practices and programs that work in education to serve as a marker for schools that desire to be high performing beacons for our educational culture. This award will be presented to us on Friday, December 7th in South Carolina at the annual Blue Ribbon Schools Conference. I and ten staff members will be attending. God bless -Irene Lynch
